Michiel Eielts joined Equinix in 2009 and is responsible for our Benelux business and operations. He brings over 20 years of experience in the Dutch IT and telecommunications industry. Since 2015 Michiel holds the position of chairman of the Dutch Datacenter Association. Prior to Equinix, he worked at Nedstat, a European web performance and monitoring firm, as Vice President of business development, and was responsible for the development and management of business alliances throughout Europe. Earlier in his career, he held several commercial and managerial roles in the regional management of KPN. He left as a General Manager to join the board of Telfort, a Dutch fixed and mobile operator. He also worked as Managing Director at BSC (subsidiary of Essent). Eielts studied Artificial Intelligence at Utrecht University and holds a MBA degree from the Erasmus University in Rotterdam, the Netherlands.
